About Munster Technological University (MTU)
Munster Technological University (MTU) was established in 2021 through the merger of Cork Institute of Technology and IT Tralee, creating the largest technological university in Ireland by enrollment outside Dublin. MTU serves Munster — Ireland's most economically dynamic province — with campuses in Cork, Tralee, and Fermoy. Programs span engineering, computing, business, science, marine technology, arts, and nursing, with a consistent emphasis on industry-relevant applied education.
