University of Lille is one of France's largest comprehensive research universities, ranked QS #521–530 globally (2025), located in Lille — France's northernmost major city, strategically positioned 1 hour from Paris by TGV and 35 minutes from Brussels, Belgium. Formed by the merger of three Lille universities in 2018, Université de Lille now spans all academic fields: sciences, medicine, law, economics, humanities, engineering, and social sciences.
