About INSA Lyon

INSA Lyon is one of France's largest and most respected public engineering schools (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées), ranked QS #501–550 globally. Part of the INSA Group — a network of 7 INSAs across France — INSA Lyon is located in Villeurbanne, adjacent to Lyon, France's second city and one of Europe's most important technology, pharmaceutical, and chemistry research hubs. The school trains engineers across civil engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, computer science, electrical engineering, and biochemistry.

INSA Lyon charges the French public university non-EU rate of approximately €2,770–4,000/year — making it one of the most affordable engineering schools in Europe for its ranking. Lyon's industrial ecosystem is diverse: Sanofi (pharma), Bosch, Renault Trucks, bioMérieux (diagnostics), and dozens of engineering firms provide strong graduate employment. The Lyon-Grenoble corridor (Lyon to Grenoble takes 1 hour by train) is increasingly considered France's most dynamic tech corridor outside of Paris.
