École Polytechnique

École Polytechnique — universally known as 'l'X' — is France's most prestigious engineering grande école, ranked QS #61 globally (2025) and consistently among the world's top institutions for engineering and technology. Founded in 1794 during the French Revolution, Polytechnique has trained generations of France's top engineers, scientists, and executives — alumni include Gustave Eiffel, Henri Poincaré, and dozens of French heads of state.
